Research Associate, Antibody Discovery

Overview:

AlivaMab Biologics is seeking an outstanding individual with a broad range of skills to support the successful discovery of fully human antibody drug candidates from the AlivaMab Mouse platform. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated team player and able to multitask in an exciting, fast-paced environment, working to discover the next generation of breakthrough antibody drugs.

The annualized anticipated base annual salary for this Research Associate position ranges from $52,800 to $73,000 . Additionally, this position offers an annual bonus, equity, and other benefits. Please note that individual total compensation for this position will be determined at the Companys sole discretion and may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to: location, skill level, years and depth of relevant experience, and education.

Responsibilities:

Maintenance of mammalian cell lines for cell-based assays for multiple projects

Mouse immunizations, sera titer check, tissue collection

Antibody screening utilizing ELISA, flow cytometry, and cell-based functional assays.

Reagent preparation and keeping inventory up to date.

Take on the role of an independent and creative researcher who demonstrates initiative in experimental design and execution, including troubleshooting.

Work closely with other team members and leaders supporting multiple drug discovery projects.

Effectively present and communicate concepts and results, both orally and in writing, to the team.

Key Skills and Requirements:

BS or MS in Immunology, cell biology, or related discipline with 0-3 years of relevant industrial or academic experience.

Aseptic tissue culture experience is a requirement for the position (in either industry or academic settings.) Demonstrated technical expertise in mammalian tissue culture of cancer cell lines and hybridomas is preferred.

Handling small animals including immunization, blood drawing, and harvesting tissue is highly desired.

Ability to efficiently work both independently and in a team-based environment on challenging drug discovery projects utilizing high-throughput cell culture and antibody screening techniques.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and GraphPad Prism. Experience with Benchling ELN/LIMS is a plus.

The right candidate for excelling in this position will be self-motivated, display strong attention to detail, and have a desire to learn and develop new skills and techniques for antibody drug discovery.

Experience and /or knowledge desired but not required for this position: Antibody screening with ELISA, ELISA, and/or cell-based assays

Experience with stable cell line generation, FACS sorting, and/or experimental design of cell-based assays

Local candidate preferred. No relocation assistance is offered for this position.
